Working with multiple teams that generate very similar concepts, themes and design patterns within email inspired me to build a best practice guide. My objective was to create a responsive, modular HTML email template that all teams could work from to cut down on custom design and development time.

This template and guide streamlined our working process and provided a consistent base for each email to be developed which saved time and allowed for an increase in development production.

Design & Layout

Mapping out the basic design, communication and layout elements that define an email. Defining these elements also helps in training new designers in what to include in their designs.

Code & Development

Providing the basic coding instructions and rules that help production and development. By defining major areas and content blocks we streamlined the development and eliminated the need to hand code each section.
